This suggests City Hall is pushing ahead with urban redevelopment at the cost of its residents. As such, heads are expected to collide at today's forum as City Hall harps to archaic laws and remains steeled on the evictions. But the Bangkok authorities must reconsider their urban development plans and proceed in a way that preserves community spirit. It's time for City Hall to realise that a living museum has more value than a dead one.
